Storm Related Brush, Branch and Tree Limb Disposal-BYRAM TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS ONLY

For Quesitons & Additional Information please visit www.byramtwp.org

In light of the 2011 Halloween Snow Storm the Township is planning a onetime STORM RELATED DAMAGE ONLY! brush, branch and tree limb curbside pickup program.  Township residents are ENCOURAGED to bring brush, branches, and tree limbs (no more than 4" diameter) to the Township Recycling Center.  The Township will continue to accept brush, branches and tree limbs through December 10.

The Storm Related Damage brush, branch and tree limb curbside pickup program will begin November 28. The diameter of the brush, branches and tree limbs cannot exceed four (4) inches.  Also, the Township requests that the piles of branches be in manageable sizes preferably six (6) feet in length by four (4) feet high, and are reachable from the Township's right-of-way.  The Township will not enter private property to retrieve fallen brush, branches and tree limbs.  The Township will sweep all areas of the town once.

The Township may need to change this program if weather conditions are not favorable and prevent access to the branch piles.

Please share this information with you neighbors!

ANDOVER TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS ONLY

LEAVES

Leaves will be picked up during the month of November only.  All leaves must be put in large paper (recyclable) leaf bags.  Plastic bags are not acceptable.

BRUSH PICK UP

Brush pick up continue runs from October through April 15, 2011, weather permitting.  The cut end of the brush must be facing the roadway and be neatly piled, not crossed.  The maximum diameter of limbs is 3 inches.  Please note: For safety reasons, thorn and briar bushes will not be picked up.  DPW will not separate thorny brush from regular brush; therefore nothing at the curb will be collected.  Brush pick up is for our residents’ convenience when clearing away overgrown trees and bushes, or when storm damage occurs.  We do not have the man power or large machinery to pick up huge amounts of brush.  Any commercially cut trees or bushes causing an abundance of brush cannot be picked up by our DPW crew.  The SCMUA Recycling Center located on Rte. 94 in Lafayette is available to all residents.  Their phone number is 973-579-6998.
